Textiles

All textile products are printed and made in the UK by some of the most experienced printers and skilful sewing hands. At ROH, it makes us happy to support UK businesses!

By buying products that are made in the UK, we are lowering our carbon footprint, saving essential skills, helping local economies and creating job opportunities. Yes please!

The cushion covers, aprons, oven gloves and tea towels are made of 100% cotton drill. It has a lovely soft finish, but it's also strong and durable. Don't be deceived by the gorgeous looks. These products are for using, not just for show!

The fabric is an English product, supporting manufacturing in the UK, and sourced from reliable and responsible producers.

The fabrics are digitally printed with planet-friendly water-based inks. This digital process is much more environmentally friendly than the screen method because water is not wasted washing out screens, and chemicals are not poured into the water system. Happy planet, happy people!

You can keep your textile products looking lovely by:

• Hand or machine washing at 30º

• Turning inside out and washing dark colours separately

• Skipping the tumble dryer

• Air drying out of direct sunlight

No dry-cleaning required. Phew!

The cushion covers are for indoor use only. They won't be very happy with rain and direct sunshine! Designing an outdoor collection is on my to-do list, so keep an eye out!

The tiny white specks on the fabric are completely normal and are due to the printing process on natural fabric. These are spaces where tiny pieces of lint have fallen off after the fabric has been printed.

Cushion pads

The cushion covers can be purchased with or without a cushion pad. If you prefer it filled, you can choose from:

• British sheep's wool with cotton casing: handmade, eco friendly and sustainable. It's also anti-allergy and naturally fire retardant.

• Fibre with corvin casing: made from recycled plastic bottles and environmentally friendly.

I don't offer feather fillers as I couldn't make sure that the duckies had had a lovely happy life.

If using your own, I recommend a 48cm to 50cm pad for a lush plump fit.

Art Prints

The art prints are printed on museum quality 308gsm Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper.

This high-quality paper has a matt chalky finish and a gorgeous smooth texture.

It produces outstanding prints that feature brilliant colours, deep blacks, striking contrasts and perfect reproduction of detail.

It's also acid and lignin-free.

Your art print is printed on museum-grade paper and using the giclée printing technique, making it a long lasting print.

The Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper is acid and lignin-free, meeting the most exacting requirements for age resistance, and is specially designed for fine art applications.

The giclée life expectancy for average daylight conditions is 80+ years!

Having said that, you do need to take care of your print if you want it to last that long, so avoiding bright or heat sources and keeping it away from humidity will help you keep it looking lovely.

Giclée art printing is a high-quality printing method used to reproduce artwork, photographs, and other images. It involves using a specialised printer that sprays microscopic droplets of ink onto a high-quality paper or canvas to create a highly detailed and vivid reproduction of the original image.

Unlike traditional printing methods, which use dots to create an image, giclée printing uses a continuous flow of ink to produce a smooth and seamless image with vibrant colors and rich details. This makes giclée prints highly sought after by artists, photographers, and collectors who want to reproduce their work with the highest level of accuracy and quality possible.

All my art prints are proudly printed in the UK at theprintspace, an end-to-end carbon-neutral company.

This means that they minimise their energy usage where they can and use suppliers of renewable energy. Where it’s unavoidable, they offset all of their carbon emissions by investing in renewable energy projects.

You can find out more about their enviromental policy here.

All art prints are unframed. I might offer framed prints in the future so keep an eye out.

For posting, the art prints are packed in a cellophane bag and with a sturdy backing board for protection.

Wrapping Paper

Each sheet is printed on 100gsm uncoated/matt paper, measuring 70cm x 50cm (27in x 20in).

The paper is strong and with a luxurious look and feel. Not so thin that it rips apart by looking at it, and not so thick that you can't fold it without making a total mess!

The wrapping paper is proudly made in the UK with 100% recyclable, FSC-approved paper and printed with vegetable inks.

The wrapping paper sheets will be posted rolled in a cardboard tube. Because who likes creased new wrapping paper?!

I totally get you, I'm just like you! The good news is you don't have to use the paper only for gift wrapping. Here are some other ideas for using wrapping paper:

  • Origami crafts: use colourful wrapping paper to make origami animals, birds, or flowers. You can find easy-to-follow origami tutorials online.
  • Wall art: cut out interesting shapes from wrapping paper and frame them as wall art. You can create a gallery wall with different shapes and patterns.
  • Laminated placemats: use wrapping paper to create unique placemats for your dining table. Cut out rectangular shapes from wrapping paper and laminate them to make them durable and easy to clean.
  • Drawer liners: use wrapping paper to line your drawers and shelves. Not only will it add a pop of colour to your storage space, but it will also protect your belongings from scratches.
  • DIY envelopes: use wrapping paper to make custom envelopes for greeting cards or letters. There are many envelope templates available online that you can use as a guide.
  • Book covers: use wrapping paper to cover your textbooks, notebooks or any other books.
  • DIY bunting: cut out triangular shapes from wrapping paper and string them together to make a festive bunting. This is a great idea for birthday parties or other celebrations.
  • Gift tags: use small pieces of wrapping paper to make your own gift tags. Cut out interesting shapes and attach them to your gifts with ribbon or string.

I hope these ideas help you get the juices flowing and your imagination going. The world is your oyster!
